WebSafeDepositBox.com provides a mail-in personal storage service. Customers select a storage plan and obtain a free storage box — either a FedEx One Rate box (available at any FedEx location) or a USPS Flat Rate box (available at any post office) — using a prepaid return shipping label we provide via email. Customers fill the box with personal items and ship it to our facility. We store the items in our secure, climate-controlled facility and photograph each item for your online inventory. Customers may request their items be returned at any time through their online account.
The physical location of our storage facility is confidential and is not disclosed to customers. Items are collected from our designated P.O. Box by courier and transported to our secure storage site.
One-Time Setup Fee: A non-refundable setup fee of $19.99 is charged at the time of account activation. This fee covers account creation, box preparation, and initial shipping coordination.
Storage is billed monthly on a flat per-box basis. Monthly rates are as follows:
Example: a customer storing 2 Standard Boxes is billed $59.98/month (2 × $29.99). Charges will continue until you cancel your subscription. To cancel, contact us via the form on our website or log into your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Cancellation without requesting return of your items will result in items being held until you arrange retrieval.
📦 Free return shipping is available for items stored continuously for 180 days or more, subject to all of the following: (a) parcel weight ≤ 5 lbs and volume ≤ 2 cubic feet; (b) destination within the continental United States (lower 48 — Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, US territories, and APO/FPO are excluded); (c) standard ground carrier service (express/overnight is opt-in and always customer-paid); (d) carrier rate ≤ $15 (customer pays any excess over this cap). Returns not meeting all conditions are billed at actual carrier rates plus any applicable remote-zone surcharge ($25 for Alaska/Hawaii, $35 for Puerto Rico, US territories, and APO/FPO), all billed to the payment method on file.
Standard return shipping is handled via ground carrier service. Once a return is requested through your customer dashboard, shipping labels are generated and dispatched to our team within 1 business day. Items are typically received within 2 business days of label generation, subject to carrier availability. Priority Overnight return shipping is available as an upgrade — contact us through your dashboard or by phone to request it. Priority Overnight charges are billed to the payment method on file at current FedEx carrier rates.
WebSafeDepositBox.com is not responsible for delays caused by the shipping carrier once items have been tendered for delivery.
Customers may store personal clothing, footwear, accessories, documents, books, small electronics, collectibles, memorabilia, and similar household items. The following items are strictly prohibited:
We reserve the right to refuse storage of any item at our discretion. If a prohibited item is discovered, we will contact you to arrange its return at your expense.
📋 Customer Certification: By completing your order and shipping your box to WebSafeDepositBox.com, you certify under penalty of applicable law that the contents of your box comply fully with this Section 5. You acknowledge that WebSafeDepositBox.com does not inspect the contents of sealed boxes and relies entirely on your certification. You assume full legal responsibility for the contents of your box and for any loss, damage, liability, or expense arising from a violation of this policy, including costs incurred by WebSafeDepositBox.com as a result of prohibited items. This certification is acknowledged at checkout and is binding upon shipment of your box.
WebSafeDepositBox.com takes reasonable precautions to protect stored items, including climate-controlled and secured storage. Our liability for lost, stolen, or damaged items depends on the Storage Protection plan selected at the time of account activation:
Storage Protection plans are billed monthly per box and may be upgraded or downgraded at any time from your customer account. Changes take effect at the start of the next billing cycle.
Claim Eligibility: Coverage is available to accounts in good standing with no outstanding balance. Claims must be submitted through your customer account within 30 days of discovering the loss or damage. WebSafeDepositBox.com reserves the right to apply any outstanding account balance as an offset against an approved claim payout.
Customers are responsible for ensuring items are properly packed within the provided box. We are not liable for damage resulting from inadequate packing by the customer, regardless of protection tier selected.
For items with an individual value exceeding $2,500, customers must obtain prior written approval from WebSafeDepositBox.com before storage, regardless of the protection plan selected.
Upon receipt of your box, our team will photograph the contents for upload to your secure customer account. These photos are used solely for your inventory reference and are not shared with third parties. Your account is accessible only to you via your registered login credentials.
If a customer's subscription remains unpaid for 60 days or more, or if a customer cancels without requesting return of their items within 30 days of cancellation, items will be considered abandoned. Abandoned items may be donated, disposed of, or sold at our discretion after reasonable notice is provided to the customer's email address on file.
Customer information including name, email, address, and stored item photos are kept strictly confidential. We do not sell or share personal information with third parties except as required by law or as necessary to operate our shipping and payment services.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Customers will be notified of material changes via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of our service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
